City Business to Move into New Space

Diversions Games and Puzzles to occupy Pars Oriental Rugs store on Congress Street.

Diversions Games and Puzzles will soon be moving into much larger digs after the owners agreed to lease a retail space currently occupied by Pars Oriental Rugs on Congress Street.

Jody Skaff, a real estate broker with the Kane Company, said Diversions Games and Puzzles will move into its new 2,940 square foot space by April, which is located next to the former Portsmouth Baking Company, another property that she is currently trying to lease.

Diversions Games and Puzzles opened its Deer Street location in June 2012 and Skaff said the owners were looking for a larger space so they can expand. She could not say what will happen to the Pars Oriental Rugs store.

Skaff said she is optimistic she will find a new commercial tenant for the former Portsmouth Baking Company soon. She said she has shown the space to a few prospective buyers, but nothing has happened yet.

When asked if she might be able to lease it by this spring, Skaff said, "I certainly hope so. It's a wonderful space."
