Fire Starts on Portsmouth-Bound Bus

There were no passengers on board at the time, and the driver was reportedly uninjured.

Emergency crews responded to a fire aboard a tour bus headed from Plaistow to Portsmouth on Monday morning.

The fire broke out around 6:30 a.m. in the engine compartment of a tour bus on Haynes Boulevard in Plaistow, according to emergency radio communications. Other than the driver, the bus was reportedly unoccupied at the time.

The Union Leader is reporting that the Coach Company bus was headed to Portsmouth to pick up passengers for a Foxwoods trip when the fire broke out. The driver was not injured.
