Tucker, R-Greenland, confirmed this afternoon that Perry and his wife, Anita, are scheduled to come to their home for a reception at 5:30 p.m. where they will meet with as many as 100 New Hampshire voters.

She and several other New Hampshire Republicans, including Portsmouth businessman Sean Mahoney, Diane Bitter of Rye, a member of the Seacoast Republican Women's group, former New Hampshire Congressman Chuck Douglas, former N.H. Postmaster Jim Adams and strategist Paul Young on Thursday and met with Perry.

Tucker said they urged Perry to consider a run for the White House, and while Perry has not stated his intentions, she is pleased that he accepted the invitation to meet with New Hampshire voters at her home on Saturday.

Tucker also believes the Saturday evening reception could be an important first step for Perry if he does indeed decide to enter the Republican Presidential candidate field.

"I am certainly glad that if he is considering a run that he is doing the due dilligence to meet with New Hampshire voters," Tucker said.
