Honor Your Oath or...'Be Forcibly Removed From Office'

Jack Kimball, of the Granite State Patriots Liberty PAC and a former Republican State Committee chairman, is mustering support for another 2nd Amendment rights rally at the Statehouse and warning gun owners that complacency amid recent attacks on constitutional rights "will eventually turn into gun confiscation."

Kimball, who owns a business in Portsmouth, promoted the "Honor Your Oath" rally April 13 on the GSPLP's Facebook page and underscored that elected leaders must be true to their oath of office.

"It is up to 'We the People' to make it clear to those who would violate their oath that we want them to step down or to be forcibly removed from office," Kimball wrote on the Facebook page. "Time is running out. We need a massive turnout to send a clear message that the Sleeping Giant has awakened and we are coming. Remember: 'All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.' It's time to join the fight."

Reach by phone Wednesday, and asked about the choice of his wording (..."be forcibly removed from office..."), Kimball said it is meant to be a broad statement. "We're talking about impeachment," he said. "It's really about integrity in the process."

The Statehouse rally on April 13 is another high-profile event in Concord whereby gun owners reinforce the importance of the 2nd Amendment and warn against eroding the constitutional right to bear arms. One of those issues in New Hampshire, according to Kimball, is House Bill 135, a bill sponsored by House Majority Leader Stephen Shurtleff, D-Concord, that would roll back the Castle doctrine – relative to physical force in defense of a person. The bill as introduced would: eliminate the provision allowing one to use deadly force anywhere he or she has a right to be, repeal the provision granting civil immunity for use of force in certain circumstances, and amend the definition of non-deadly force.

Read the bill here. A committee's majority report (on 12-6 vote), that it ought to pass with an amendment, is scheduled to go before the full House of Representatives on March 13. The amended analysis: "This bill eliminates the provision allowing a person to use deadly force anywhere he or she has a right to be."

There are other issues, or attacks on liberty-living Americans, on the federal level, but HB135 is one of those afoot in New Hampshire, according to Kimball.

Of his strong language–that is, if some deem it strong language–Kimball is as much a straight-shooter as always. "I'm not a politically correct guy," he says, "I think you know that."
