Johnny Cash Sighting in Market Square?

Buskers perform several of the Man in Black's songs on a sunny, spring afternoon.

Michael Hayes and Astrid DeRott have always been big fans of Johnny Cash, which is why they chose to perform some of his best known songs in Market Square on Wednesday afternoon.

The buskers, who hail from Suncook and Rockingham County, made out pretty well after they sang Cash hits like "Jackson," "Ring of Fire," and "Folsom Prison Blues." Apparently, there are a lot of Portsmouth area residents who love the Man in Black as much as they do.

What follows is a video of Hayes and DeRott performing Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" during a sunny, spring afternoon in front of the Piscataqua Savings Bank on Pleasant Street.
