Library Launches Overdrive Advantage

Now Portsmouth Public Library members can access hundreds of ebooks and audio books for their iPads, Nooks, Kindles and other electronic devices.

Ebooks and audiobooks are more popular than ever and the Portsmouth Public Library wants to make sure you have plenty of reading choices at your fingertips.

The library recently purchased copies of popular eBook and Audiobook titles to supplement the thousands already available in the shared New Hampshire Downloadable Books Consortium.

Called Overdrive Advantage, this unique service places your request ahead of others submitted by non-members. Portsmouth Public Library cardholders have access to library-purchased content immediately. Often the title can be downloaded on the spot to your computer, iPod, iPad, Android device or eReader, including Amazon’s Kindle line
