Market Basket Robbery Suspect Also a Model
Julia Konchek's Facebook page says that she models lingerie and bikini swim suits.
Before she was arrested this week for robbing a female shopper's wallet at Market Basket, Julia Konchek made her mark as a lingerie and bikini model.
According to her Facebook page, Konchek, 21, of 37 Hanover St. Apt 2 in Portsmouth had worked as a model for four years. Konchek also has a modeling profile on the website exploretalent.com and on the website modelmayhem.com.
"This is a great way to promote myself and my work. I'm goofy and really easy going I love new things and im always up for a challenge. I take modeling very seriously and im always professional. While keeping a great additude and will most likely make you laugh. I hope you all enjoy my photos & thank you for "liking" my page," she wrote on her Facebook page.
Konchek, 21, and Kyle Roy, 25, of Gardner, Mass., were arrested on Wednesday night in Portsmouth a day after police say they robbed a female shopper of her wallet at Market Basket on Woodbury Avenue. They were both ordered held on $10,000 cash bail during their arraignments on felony robbery charges on Thursday in Portsmouth Circuit Court.
Portsmouth Police arrested the pair after they say Konchek stole eight DVDs from the Wal-Mart store in Newington. Police pulled over their vehicle in the city on Wednesday and as they were searching it, Konchek and Roy fled on foot and were eventually located in a friend's basement nearby.
Portsmouth Police prosecutors also said that Konchek and Roy are both heroin addicts. During her arraignment on Thursday, Konchek cried as she pleaded with Judge Sawato Gardner to give her lower bail. "I just really want to get my life clean and I'm just so embarrassed," she said.

Shoplifting, robbery, drugs! Lock 'em up and throw away the key. We don't need scum like this wandering about in society.
