Police: Man Makes 'Bomb' Threat Against Pease Co.

Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Thursday, April 18 through Saturday, April 20.

Thursday:

  • At 10:27 a.m., police arrested a Seabrook woman who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after she was detained by Seabrook Police. Lisa Dwyer, 45, of 20A Adams Ave. in Seabrook was wanted for issuing bad checks.
  • At 1:41 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth woman for drunken driving on Islington Street. Holly Michelle Spreen, 40, of 900 Middle Road was charged with driving while intoxicated (second offense).
  • At 8:21 p.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man on Middle Street. Corey Jon Hoffses, 50, address unknown, was charged with criminal trespassing and default or breach of bail conditions.

  • At 12:36 a.m., police reported a theft on Lafayette Road after the caller said his laptop and some "light saber" parts were stolen.
  • At 9:57 a.m., police reported an animal call on Market Street after the caller said there was an injured bird. The bird was later taken to the York Wildlife Center in Maine for rehabilitation.
  • At 2:25 p.m., police reported a theft on Market Street after a hotel guest said staff members were trying to steal her credit cards from her room.
  • At 6:53 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Van Buren Avenue after the caller said he heard something smash a window.
  • At 8:59 p.m., police arrested a Vermont man for drunken driving on Route 33 and Borthwick Avenue. Philip Dwyer, 40, of 4 Barnsley St. in South Burlington, Vt., was charged with driving while intoxicated (subsequent offense).

Saturday:

  • At 12:25 a.m., police arrested a Merrimack man for drunken driving on the Route 1 Bypass northbound and the Portsmouth Traffic Circle. Michael Joseph, 25, of 38 Cota Road in Merrimack was charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of controlled narcotic drugs.
  • At 1:08 a.m., police reported a theft on Lafayette Road after the caller said a male subject ran out the door with two 18-packs of Coors Light beer.
  • At 8:07 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Odiorne Point Road after the caller said a mailbox was damaged and some mail was taken.
  • At 11:57 a.m., a Lafayette Road restaurant reported a theft when a customer left without paying.
  • At 1:59 p.m., police reported criminal threatening on Corporate Drive at Pease International Tradeport after the caller said a male subject threatened the business over the phone by saying he "hopes a bomb explodes in your office." The male subject was from New York and police advised the business to contact the New York City Police Department.
  • At 2:42 p.m., police reported criminal trespass on Pleasant Street after a male subject climbed the fire escape and went on the roof.
  • At 3:03 p.m., police reported a theft on Lafayette Road that led to the arrest of a Portsmouth man. Ian Newman, 28, of 270 Richards St., Apt. 3, was charged with theft from a building.
  • At 5:51 p.m., police arrested two women for theft on Lafayette Road after the business said they left the store with a shopping cart full of merchandise. Kandi M. Williams, 31, of 21 M St. in Hampton was charged with theft from a building. Marcia R. Sheldon, 40, of 9 Western Ave., Apt. 3, in Dover was also charged with theft from a building.
  • At 8:17 p.m., police reported an unattended death on Shearwater Drive.
