Portsmouth Bank Robbed Again

Police are searching for a suspect similar to the one who robbed the People's United Bank on Saturday, but will not say if it is the same person.

Portsmouth Police are asking the public to look at surveillance photos of the suspect who robbed the People's United  Bank this morning and the suspect who robbed the Islington Street bank on Saturday morning.

Portsmouth Police Capt. Corey MacDonald would not say if the bank robberies were committed by the same suspect. "I can't say that yet," he said.

But the description of the suspect who robbed the bank Friday morning is similar to the suspect who robbed the bank on Saturday morning. Both robberies also occurred at about the same time: 9:30 a.m.
