Rufus Wainwright to Rock Music Hall

Singer/songwriter to perform on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m.

Rufus Wainwright, one of the most talented singer/songwriters performing today, will perform at the Music Hall on Wednesday night.

“The most whimsical and original young singer-songwriter to come around in years” – (New York Times) returns in support of his seventh album, Out of the Game (produced by Mark Ronson), which both Rolling Stone and Paste Magazine have recently chosen as one of the best albums of the year so far, and NPR Music selected the album's latest single, "Jericho" as one of their favorite tracks of the year to date. On his return engagement to The Music Hall, he’ll be preceded by both British folk rocker Teddy Thompson and his sister, Music Hall fave, Lucy Wainwright Roche – not to be missed!

According to a recent interview in Out in Maine (Fall 2012), “the title of Rufus Wainwright’s new album Out of the Game suggests what Rufus says outright: he’ll be touring less. So see him now!” Rufus Wainwright indicated that since he’s now married and has a daughter, “I don’t intend to tour as much as I used to. This is a bit of a last hurrah for me because I want to spend more time with my daughter.”
