'Tunnel of Terror' Coming to Water Country
Water park's newest attraction will combine thrills and speed with darkness this summer.
Dr. Von Dark's Tunnel of Terror will be ready for the upcoming summer season at Water Country and it is not your typical water park thrill ride.
According to information published on the water park's website, "the Tunnel of Terror is the first water ride of its kind in New England."
Two people at a time will descend in a two-person tube into a "twisting 40-foot plunge through a totally enclosed, totally dark tunnel. Along the way, a wicked tornado funnel will leave your head spinning and your fears in your throat! A work of evil genius, it’s a 300 foot trip into the dark side of thrills," the website reads.

The newest water park ride is being constructed at the Portsmouth facility located off Lafayette Road and is scheduled to be completed in time for the upcoming summer season.
In the YouTube video posted on Water Country's web site, the narrator says, "After one run, you'll be begging your mommy for a night light."
