UPDATE: Wounded Officers Upgraded to Good Condition

UPDATE, TUESDAY, 4:30 P.M.: The two officers who remain hospitalized after last week's Greenland shooting were upgraded to good condition Tuesday, according to WMUR.

The television station said Newmarket Police Detective Scott Kukesh and Rochester Police Detective Jeremiah Murphy are also no longer in the intensive care unit at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Two of the four police officers who were wounded in the April 12 armed standoff in Greenland remain in stable condition at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Portsmouth Regional Hospital spokeswoman Nancy Notis said Monday afternoon that the two police officers, Newmarket Police Detective Scott Kukesh, 33, and Rochester Police Detective Jeremiah Murphy, 34, are still in the hospital's intensive care unit recovering from their injuries.

Murphy recently had his breathing tube removed and is breathing on his own, according to .

The bullet that hit Kukesh missed all his vital organs, Cyr said. Both officers were shot in the chest.

The two other police officers who were wounded in the incident, Dover Police Detective Gregory Turner, 32, and UNH Police Detective Eric Kulberg, 31, were treated and released. The armed standoff resulted in the shooting death of Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney, whose funeral will be held Thursday at 12 noon at the Winnacunnet High School Athletic Field following his wake at the Remick and Gendron Funeral Home in Hampton on Wednesday.

Earlier on Monday, police investigators released the crime scene on 517 Post Road in Greenland where authorities say Cullen Mutrie fired upon all five officers when they attempted to execute a search warrant. Authorities say that Mutrie, who had a lengthy criminal record, shot and killed his ex-girlfriend Brittany Tibbetts of Berwick, Maine, before turning the gun on himself.
