VIDEO: Class of 2012 Graduates

A theme that ran through all of the remarks and speeches made by Portsmouth High School Class of 2012 student leaders and faculty was don't be afraid of fear and take risks if you want to succeed.

They were also told to be proud of all they have achieved during their 12 years in the Portsmouth schools and to follow their hearts as they continue their education or begin their careers.

As more than 2,000 friends and family members cheered them on, 240 members of the Class of 2012 received their high school diplomas inside the Stone Gymnasium at Portsmouth High School. The 198th annual Commencement ceremony featured plenty of music, song and well wishes for the young men and women who are full of Clipper pride as they go out into the world.
