What's Open, Closed on Martin Luther King Day?
All city offices and public schools are closed on Monday, but retailers, movie theaters and restaurants will be open.

On Monday, Jan. 21 all city offices, Portsmouth public schools, the Portsmouth Public Library and the recycling center will be closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Connie Bean Recreation Center, Spinnaker Point Recreation Center and the Portsmouth Indoor Pool will be open. Many retailers and restaurants located downtown, on Lafayette Road and at the Fox Run Mall in Newington will also be open.
City officials said there will be regular curbside trash and recyclables collection on Monday.
