Tom Rush, Chris Abbott Meet the Press

Tom Rush, legendary folk musician and star of the documentary "Tom Rush: No Regrets," and actor Chris Abbott and the creative team behind "All That I Am" spoke at a press conference at the Discover Portsmouth Center on Saturday afternoon.

Rush said he enjoyed the process of being the focus of a documentary, though being followed through airports by video cameras was at times strange.

He said he can't claim to have "no regrets," as the film title states, but he can safely say he has "no complaints." He also offered some advice to fellow musicians, saying they should "play in front of a live audience very chance you get."

Abbott said he got involved with "All That I Am" because he knows the filmmakers. Abbott, one of the stars of HBO's "Girls," said he has several upcoming projects he's working on.

Both he and the others involved with the film said they had never been to Portsmouth before, but were looking forward to sampling some chowder and lobster.

"All That I Am" screens Saturday at 4:35 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Music Hall. "Tom Rush: No Regrets" screens on Sunday at 12:40 p.m. at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre.
