Portsmouth Student Co-Produces, Stars in Diary of Anne Frank

The Diary of Anne Frank has four performances: May 28-30, and June 1.

The Diary of Anne Frank opens tonight for the first of only four shows at the Seacoast Repertory Theater.

The show is co-produced by Elle Shaheen, a Portsmouth High School student, who also co-stars in the production.

Read a little more about it from the Seacoast Rep and Mr. J. Millman:

"Suffice it to say the upcoming Seacoast Repertory Theater production of the Diary of Anne Frank has been a long time in the making.

At just nine years old Elle (pronounced Elly) Shaheen was introduced to the written version of the play, an adaptation of the famous diary account of a family in hiding under the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands in the early 1940's and their deportation to a concentration camp. That play grabbed a strong hold on her then and has never let go."  (Read more of his blog post)

The four shows are: May 28 and May 29 at 7:30 p.m, May 29 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, June 1, at 2 p.m.
