Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder to Play Prescott Park Arts Festival
Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder will play Friday, Aug. 29, in Portsmouth.
The Prescott Park Arts Festival announced that Country and Bluegrass giant Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder has been added to its River House Restaurant Concert Series and will play Friday, Aug. 29.
With 14 Grammy Awards, no artist has had greater impact on the course of country and bluegrass music since 1980 than Ricky Skaggs, the dynamic tenor from Kentucky.
"Ricky is a giant who can play like none other," Prescott Park Arts Festival director Ben Anderson said in announcing Ricky Skaggs, "but I also can’t wait to watch the insane talent of his young band, Kentucky Thunder."
The concert series kicks off this Saturday, June 21, with Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Patty Griffin. Prescott Park Arts Festival concerts are offered free and open to the public with a suggested $8 to $10 donation.
