St. Nicholas Greek Festival This Weekend

The St. Nicholas Greek Festival in Portsmouth is this weekend, July 18 to July 20.

The festival at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church is a celebration of community, as well as good music and food, with the delicious morsels including lamb shanks, Souvlaki, Spanakopita, kabobs, Moussaka, Dolmathakia, Loukoumathes and Baklava.

The Greek Festival hours:

• Friday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.

• Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

• Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

Greek Dancing exhibitions are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m.

Music will be provided by DJ Meleti all weekend, and "orfeas" will perform live music Friday at 7 p.m. and Dilina will perform Saturday at 7 p.m., according to the St. Nicholas Greek Festival schedule.
