Allegiant Booking Orlando Flights Ahead of Pease Opening

The airline will operate out of Portsmouth International Airport at Pease, which has been without a passenger airline since 2008.

The Portsmouth International Airport at Pease on Friday is scheduled to receive a passenger airliner for the first time since 2008.

The budget airline Allegiant is launching service from Pease to Orlanda, Fla.

It will be the first time passenger airline service will be offered at Pease since Skybus ceased its operation there.

Allegiant will provide a single nonstop route from Pease to Orlando-Sanford International Airport in Florida and back. The airline is currently selling tickets online. They start at $99.

Eric Fletcher, an Allegiant Air manager, previously said ticket prices will be "shockingly low." He added there will be free parking at Pease.
