Former Ole Burritos & Beer Eatery Leased

Ole Burritos & Beer closed after about four months in business.

The former Ole Burritos & Beer eatery on Pleasant Street has been leased.

Portsmouth real estate broker Bill Mouflouze on Friday confirmed the downtown space had been leased but declined to reveal the identity of the tenant.

A group calling itself the "Burrito Liberation Front" recently posted a press release on Portsmouth Patch saying it's opening a burrito shop in the city, but it declined to say where. It said it will make an announcement February 1.

Ole Burritos & Beer closed after about four months in business. The restaurant had previously been a Me and Ollie's coffee shop. Owner Roger Elkus then decided to change it to the burrito shop.

Elkus is currently building a diner in the Southgate Plaza on Lafayette Road.
