Tours of New Smuttynose Brewery Begin May 31

Opening Day for the new Smuttynose Brewery on Towle Farm in Hampton is just around the corner.

Tours of the new Smuttynose Brewery on Towle Farm in Hampton begin May 31.

Smuttynose Brewing Co. just issued a press release describing the transition from brewing operations from the original Heritage Avenue brewery in Portsmouth to the new company headquarters at Towle Farm in Hampton.

The new brewery and headquarters is at 103 Towle Farm Road, Hampton, 03842 (for those who want to punch it into a GPS and bookmark it).

Below is the Smuttynose Brewing Co. press release issued April 30:

Doors open on May 31 for brewery tours and the Smerchendise boutique after two weekends off for moving in and tour preparations.

"Our entire staff is so excited to open the new brewery to the world,” said Peter Egelston, Founder and President of Smuttynose, “but closing Heritage Avenue is bittersweet. It’s been our home for nearly 20 years and we hope to send it off in style."

Regular brewery tours have finished at Heritage Avenue. For the final two weekends, May 2/3 and May 9/10, Smuttynose will host open houses during its usual tour hours. Guided tours will be offered alongside retail specials and beer samples, but everyone should feel welcome to stop by even if it’s for just a few samples and one last look at the original facility.

After the four open houses, there will be no brewery tours for two weeks, while tour staff set up the new tasting area and retail shop at Towle Farm. During the two-week break, would-be Smuttynose visitors should go visit other New Hampshire breweries. There are almost 35 in the state now. Towle Farm will open be the public from 10am until 7pm on opening day, Saturday, May 31. After that, Sunday will begin our regular summer hours, which are below. Updates will come over Smuttynose’s social media channels.

  • Sun 10-3
