Smuttynose IPA Now Served at Fenway Park

Portsmouth brewery's Smuttynose Finestkind IPA will be served in new craft beer pavilion beginning on Opening Day.

When Portsmouth area residents go to see the Boston Red Sox play at Fenway Park this year, they will be able to enjoy Smuttynose Finestkind IPA in the new craft beer pavilion.

JT Thompson, who serves as Smuttynose Brewery Co.'s minister of propaganda, said he just learned recently that the Finestkind IPA made the cut for Fenway Park's new craft beer pavilion.

“It’s a good thing because Fenway Park is probably the most high-profile beer account in Boston,” said Thompson. “It’s a really nice showcase for our beer.”

Thompson said Smuttynose Brewing Co. owner Peter Egleston and many members of the staff are huge Red Sox fans and are thrilled that their craft beer will now be enjoyed by millions of Boston baseball fans.

“In the grand scheme of things, ballparks are catching on” as far as craft beer is concerned, Thompson said.
