Several retail shops downtown offer everything couples need for romance on Feb. 14.
Just a quick stroll through downtown Portsmouth this week is all it takes to see there are many stores and retailers who are selling great, unique gifts for Valentine's Day.
Businesses such as the Flower Kiosk on Market Street have plenty of red roses for that special someone, and the Paper Patch right across the street has more than enough sweet Valentine's Day cards to choose from.
The city is also blessed with two chocolatiers, with Mainely Gourmet on Hanover Street and Byrne and Carlson on State Street. Paradiza on Penhallow Street also sells many unique gifts sure to please your sweetheart.
