Stefany Shaheen Files Papers for City Council Run

Stefany Shaheen, the daughter of U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, filed papers on Monday to run for City Council.
With her four children, former Mayor Tom Ferrini and other supporters on hand, Shaheen presented petitions that contained more than 100 signatures to City Clerk Kelli Barnaby.
Shaheen is one of more than a dozen candidates who will run for the city's nine council seats in November. She said she plans to go door to door this weekend to talk to city voters and drum up as much support as she can over the next eight weeks.
