ACT ONE presents That Darn Plot

Join ACT ONE for THAT DARN PLOT, a laugh-filled, fast-paced comedy about how to write a play. Full of surprises and deeply touching!

ACT ONE presents the hilarious ”play-within-a-play” That Darn Plot this August at the West End Studio Theatre, 959 Islington Street.

Mark W. Transom, famed playwright, must create a play in one night or lose everything. Half asleep & half drunk, Transom hastily whips up a comedy about putting on a play. Characters come to life before his eyes and things are going well ~ until a mysterious character arrives ~ straight from the playwright’s unconscious!

Canadian playwright David Belke will have you racing to keep up with the action and solve the puzzle of who will ultimately be in charge of writing this play. David Durham, Kate Bossi, and Alan Huisman head a superb cast, and ACT ONE’s Stephanie Voss Nugent directs this comedic look “behind the scenes” at the mayhem, madness, turns and twists that go into to writing a play and bringing it to the stage.
