Extreme Air of NH Jumpers Qualify for Nationals!

The team will hold its Friends and Family event on May 3, and will perform at Portsmouth Children's Day on May 4.

Extreme Air of New Hampshire is heading to Long Beach, California this summer for the USA Jump Rope National Championships on June 26-29.

The team will compete against more than 700 of the country's best athletes for national recognition in speed and freestyle events. The Extreme Air jumpers qualified for nationals at the Regional Tournament held March 29 in Eastham, Mass.

Jumpers compete in age division events in speed and freestyle in both single rope and double dutch events. Individual events are by gender, but team events have male and female jumpers competing head-to-head.

The following Extreme Air jumpers qualified for nationals in multiple events:

Ashley Berthiaume, Alexia Catalano, Samantha Clough, Keegan Collins-Jett, Payton Collins-Jett, Liza Corso, Caroline Davenport, Megan DeMello, Malia Everett, Isabelle Fortier, Emily Fraser, Laurel Gordon, Caroline Griffin, Abbie Hafey, Naomi Hyzer, Morgan Koskela, Belle Leighton, Alyssa Levesque, Hannah Seekins, Jolena Sensombath, Alisha Tarbuck, Lauren Tarbuck, Inna Volovich, Sarah Waleryszak, and Ethan Zundell.

Before heading to California, however, Extreme Air has two upcoming events locally.  

Extreme Air’s 11th annual Friends and Family event will be held on Saturday, May 3, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Newmarket High School. Admission is free, and a workshop will be held prior to the team’s performance, from 5 to 6 p.m. There will also be raffles, a silent auction, door prizes and more.

The following day, Sunday, May 4, Extreme Air will be performing at Children’s Day in Portsmouth at 2 p.m.
