A Recap of the Week’s Highlights

This past Saturday, I joined Niel Young on his radio program highlighting Joe Kenney’s efforts to win the special election in Executive Council, District 1. Following the interview, my team and I accompanied Laconia volunteers in knocking on doors to help get out the vote in Laconia.

On the evening of the election, Team Guinta could be found poll-standing for Lt. Col. Kenney in Meredith, a fun and frigid time was had by all! On Monday night Team Guinta hosted a phone bank at the NHGOP to remind voters to head to the polls. We want to congratulate Councilor-Elect Kenney on his grassroots effort and upset win. We wish him the best of luck going forward!
On Monday morning, a second list of supporters was released as part of our ongoing “March of Endorsements.” Granite Staters rightfully expect town to town, street to street and handshake to handshake efforts from candidates when seeking to earn their support. We will deliver nothing less!

I continue to be humbled by the wave of grassroot support we are experiencing. We have always focused on the issues people care about while providing the solutions people need. This will be the backbone upon which our efforts are built.

From Conway and Laconia to Seabrook and Manchester, we will seek to shake every hand and work for every vote. Add up all the voices in these towns and we will send a powerful message to Washington that we are fed up with their overtaxing, overspending and under appreciating ways.

On Wednesday, I traveled to Parkland Medical Center in Derry to continue the Health Care Listening Tour.

As you know, Parkland is one of ten hospitals excluded from the Obamacare Exchange and is also the town’s largest employer. Those previously receiving care in the area will now have to travel greater distances to access health care services.

In addition to this visit, the Health Care Listening Tour has taken Team Guinta to Frisbie Hospital in Rochester, Portsmouth Regional Hospital, the Dover Senior Center, Exeter Hospital, and the Londonderry Senior Center, with more to follow!

Thursday night, I was at Lino’s Restaurant in Wakefield to meet with local republicans from the town and the surrounding areas of Effingham, Brookfield and Ossipee. We discussed the need to work together, moving forward to solve the dysfunctions that plague Washington and our country.

Additionally, I spoke of my opposition to the defense cuts proposed by the Obama Administration and the detrimental impact this will have on our national defense capabilities.

We have a busy weekend planned, beginning Saturday morning in Derry where the Town GOP Committee is hosting Congressman Peter King (R-NY/2nd) who is in NH this weekend for the Northeast Republican Leadership Conference.

I look forward to discussing the Health Care Listening Tour and the problems plaguing its implementation, particularly in the hard hit town of Derry.

From there, I will head to Nashua to visit the Northeast Republican Leadership Conference and to meet with activists and officials from around the country.

Last, but not least, I look forward to supporting my fellow Manchester Republicans at a get together to help raise funds for the Manchester Republican Committee.
