Chiropractors to Celebrate Office Expansion with Demonstrations, Classes and Children’s Activities

Great Works Chiropractic & Wellness is planning several family activities at its new office expansion space at 249 Main St., South Berwick, on Saturday, April 13.

SOUTH BERWICK, Maine — Great Works Chiropractic & Wellness will hold a grand opening celebration for its new office expansion space at 249 Main Street in South Berwick.

The event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13. Great Works is planning hula hooping demonstrations and classes, a yoga demo, a baby-wearing demo, a salon demo, balloon animals, kids' tattoos and other fun activities to warm up its new place.

Great Works is converting its old space, 235 Main St. into offices and a meeting space. The 249 Main Street address will be the home of the day-to-day operations of the practice.

“We’re very excited that we have the opportunity to acquire more space to bring our practice closer to what more we ultimately want it to be,” said Dr. Seth LaFlamme. “We haven’t done it alone; the  community helped us get there. And we really wanted to celebrate the community, having people come in and have a good time and see our new space, which we’re really proud of. It’s really saying, ‘thanks’ to the community for helping us reach a point where we can grow.

Dr. Briana Duga — or Dr. Bri, as she likes to be called — recently joined Dr.  LaFlamme, her husband, at Great Works to be a practicing chiropractor intensely interested in taking care of families and children, her biggest interest being pregnancy, infants and toddlers. Both doctors are eminently qualified in treating adults. But treating children is a special area of interest they both have, and that’s why they’re both undergoing advanced training in that treatment area.

“So we have a lot of exciting things going on,” said Dr. LaFlamme — or Dr. Seth, as he prefers to be called. “We’re just really charged up to be serving our community like this. It’s all good stuff. We’ve been very fortunate. The town has received us well — really the whole area has — so we’re grateful for that.”

The April 13 event will be a great opportunity for people who haven’t come in to get a feel for the practice and see what Great Works does. The event is designed to provide fun for kids and adults. The hula hoop event demonstrates a fun activity that people are doing for fitness.
