A Successful Ribbon Cutting to Welcome Kume to Brickyard Square

They say nothing is more important than a first impression. Kume Steak House in the Brickyard Square Plaza made sure to set the tone for residents of the Epping community at their ribbon cutting which took place on Wednesday August 14th. Members of the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce were able to come out, giant scissors in hand, ready to welcome Kume and its owners to the community.

Kevin Shi and  Nina and Alan Cheung, co-owners of the newly opened Japanese Steak House, welcomed guests to try their authentic and exquisite sushi bar, offering samples of some of their finest sushi rolls on the menu. Larger parties signed up for the Hibachi experience. Set on one side of the restaurant, laughter and dining entertainment were plentiful in the Hibachi room. Kevin introduced their story to the Chamber members before cutting the ribbon, talking about how important it is for them to offer realistic Japanese dining to the area. Whether guests attended for a fun date night, lively girl’s night or a family outing, Kume offered the necessary atmosphere for a successful night. The sushi bar was busy all night crafting a variety of sushi rolls on their extensive Japanese menu. The hibachi room was packed and the onion towers were on fire (literally). Couples took up the dining room area, enjoying appetizers and a wide variety of entrees. “We like to have something for everyone. We don’t like having anyone leave without finding something they like on our menu,” Kevin explains of their plethora of options guests were able to choose from at the ribbon cutting.

Drink specials were also enjoyed by all guests, with the Pomegranate Margarita Martini featuring Camarena Blue Agave Tequila as a fan-favorite. The bar was busy mixing drinks all night, with every stool occupied. Guests participated in giveaways, winning t-shirts and other swag. One lucky raffle winner went home with a grill to bring on their end-of-summer camping trips.
