Patch hasn't just gone downhill with the redesigned site, it's close to self-annihilation. What little news there is is days old; comments and reader participation are virtually non-existent. Stale news and no readers do not combine to make a site successful. I suspect it won't be too long before AOL pulls the plug on the entire Patch.com operation.
