Portsmouth Man Charged with Assault

The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, Dec. 1 and Monday, Dec. 2.

Sunday:

  • At 7:48 a.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident on Woodbury Avenue and Bartlett Street after the caller said his daughter's vehicle hit some black ice.
  • At 7:56 a.m., police reported a three car accident on Elwyn Road that was also caused by black ice.
  • At 8:30 a.m., police reported that a purse was found in the woods off Greenland Road and turned in to the police station.
  • At 11:27 a.m., police reported a theft of a cell phone on State Street.
  • At 12:20 p.m., police reported an airline emergency at Portsmouth International Airport.
  • At 1:13 p.m., police reported disorderly conduct at Portsmouth Regional Hospital on Borthwick Avenue.
Monday:
  • At 3:31 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man following a domestic disturbance on Osprey Drive. Alberto Jaime, 40, of 152 Osprey Drive was charged with two counts of simple assault.
  • At 9:42 a.m., police reported an injured deer on Grafton Drive and Corporate Drive. About an hour later, New Hampshire Fish and Game Conservation officers located the injured deer on New Hampshire Avenue and captured the animal.
  • At 6:43 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on Ledgewood Drive after someone set off a fire extinguisher.
  • At 7:19 p.m., police responded to Wedgewood Road for criminal mischief after some kids were spraying windows with a fire extinguisher.
