Search for Lizzi Marriott's Body Resumes [VIDEO]

The search for University of New Hampshire student Elizabeth "Lizzi" Marriott's body resumed near the Peirce Island lookout area Tuesday.

Coast Guard and New Hampshire Marine Patrol officers focused their efforts between the Portsmouth wastewater treatment plant at the very of Peirce Island out towards the Route 1-B bridge to New Castle.

Several boats slowly combed the shoreline of Peirce Island and the bridge pilings for any trace of the 19-year-old's body a day after New Hampshire Associate Attorney General Jane Young told the media in Dover that authorities are prepared to conduct the search for several days to locate the young woman's body.

Young said authorities are reaching out to Massachusetts and Maine authorities in case Marriott's body is spotted in either of those states' coastal waters. Young said authorities will also bring additional tools to bear to help locate Marriott's body including cadaver dogs. She said Monday New Hampshire Marine Patrol is using sonar cameras on their boats.

Young also ask any members of the public who may have any information that can help Dover Police investigate the case to contact Dover Police at (603) 742-4646 or the Dover Crimeline at 749-6000 if they wish to remain anonymous.

According to authorities, inside of his Dover apartment on Oct. 9. Neither the New Hampshire Attorney General's office or Dover Police will provide any details on what Mazzaglia may have done with Marriott's body or why the search continues around Peirce Island in Portsmouth.

Mazzaglia was ordered held without bail at the Strafford County Jail in Dover during his arraignment for second degree murder in Dover District Court on Monday. According to Young, the victim and Mazzaglia knew one another, but were not involved in any kind of relationship.

Mazzaglia, who is an actor and practices Karate according to his web site, is due back in Dover District Court for a probably cause hearing on Oct. 29 at 10 a.m.
