Fugitive Charged with Witness Tampering

Portsmouth Police provided the following information. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Tuesday:

  • At 8:11 a.m., police reported reckless conduct on Congress and Fleet streets after a driver and a bicyclists got into a dispute that led to a verbal exchange.
  • At 8:32 a.m., police arrested a Concord man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he turned himself in at the police station. Brad Lizotte, 48, of 47 Manor Road was wanted for two counts of tampering with witnesses and informants (intimidation).
  • At 9:34 a.m., police took a call about a possible credit card fraud on Borthwick Avenue.
  • At 10:50 a.m., police reported a two car accident without injury on Woodbury Avenue.
  • At 11:15 a.m., police arrested a Dover man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he was already being held at the York County Jail in Maine. Christopher M. Bouchard, 29, of 5 Allen St. was wanted for theft; all other.
  • At 11:54 a.m., police issued a summons to a Portsmouth man for failure to license his dog on State Street.
  • At 2:35 p.m., police reported a theft at South Mill Pond after the caller said someone stole his cdla license, a credit card and a pistol permit from his wallet that was inside his vehicle.
  • At 5;20 p.m., police reported a theft of two jackets on Market Square.
  • At 7:14 p.m., police arrested a Dover man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice after he was detained by Dover Police. Amadou Diallo, 34, of 40 New York St., Apt. D, was wanted for two counts of simple assault.
