Agitated 'Cage Fighter' at Hospital Prompts Police Call

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, Aug. 1.

Wednesday:

• At 11:18 a.m., police responded to Portsmouth Regional Hospital to help restrain a patient. Hospital staff said the patient was very agitated and described him as a cage fighter.
• At 11:57 a.m., police arrested a Portsmouth man who was wanted as a fugitive from justice on Lafayette Road. Timothy Sean Poole, 49, of 600 Lafayette Road was wanted on a bench warrant from Dover District Court.
• At 12:10 p.m., police received a harassment complaint from a woman who said a person that she has a no contact order against keeps harassing her by sending her text messages.
• At 12:25 p.m., police assisted State Police with a two-car accident on Route 33 and I-95 southbound.
• At 2:06 p.m., police reported the theft of a wallet from a woman's beauty bag on Congress Street.
• At 3:28 p.m., police said some white powder was found inside a balloon with a pipe on Middle Road that will be tested.
• At 6:28 p.m., police reported a stolen kayak on Pray Street from a dock that was later found by the kayak's owner.
• At 9:15 p.m., police reported that a Woodbury Avenue store employee said a male subject stole several items from the business.

• At 12:56 a.m., police arrested two Northwood men for liquor offenses on Woodbury Avenue. Jeffrey Robert, 18, of 24 Davlynn Road was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol and Damon Doyle, 18, of 52 Masten Drive was charged with transportation of alcoholic beverages by a minor.
