Driver Threatens to Shoot Man After Crash

The following information was provided by the Portsmouth Police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Sunday, Dec. 29 and Monday, Dec. 30.

Sunday:

  • At 6:58 a.m., police reported an animal call on Lafayette Road and Constitution Avenue after the caller said a owl was spotted in the middle of the road.
  • At 11:18 a.m., police reported criminal mischief on Penhallow Road after the caller said his vehicle's side view mirror was damaged.
Monday:
  • At 2:37 a.m., police reported a single car accident on Woodbury Avenue after a vehicle slid off the road.
  • At 4:14 a.m., police reported a second single car accident on Banfield Road after another car slid off the road.
  • At 11:02 a.m., police reported an airport emergency at Portsmouth International Airport after an aircraft with six people on board struck some birds and was forced to land.
  • At 12:15 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident on New Castle Avenue after the caller said a car drove into her house, but no one was injured.
  • At 1:51 p.m., police reported a prowler on South Street after the caller said a male subject was peeking into windows and taking photos.
  • At 2:33 p.m., police reported a phone scam on Sagamore Avenue.
  • At 5:14 p.m., police reported criminal threatening on Greenland Road after the caller said they were involved in a motor vehicle accident with another driver who then threatened to shoot the caller if he did not get out of there.
