Police Catch Two Burglars in the Act

Portsmouth Police supplied the following arrest information.

The following is an excerpt from the Portsmouth Police log from Friday, Sept. 21 through Sunday, Sept. 23.

Friday:

  • At 10:19 a.m., police reported a theft on Anne Avenue after the caller said someone stole her clothes and a basket in a laundry room.
  • At 12:09 p.m., police reported a rape – forcible sexual assault downtown. The victim reported it after she had received medical treatment at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
  • At 1:32 p.m., police reported grafitti on Market Street and Portsmouth Boulevard on the footbridge.
  • At 2:52 p.m., police reported a rape – forcible sexual assault after the victim came to the police station and reported it.
  • At 11:33 p.m., police arrested a Concord man for stalking after he was detained by Concord Police and transported to the Lee traffic circle, where he was met by Portsmouth Police officers. Nicholas Mason, 18, of 36 Pembroke Road in Concord was charged with that offense.

  • At 11:06 a.m., police arrested two people on Osprey Drive who were stealing items from a building. Robert Eugene Provost Jr., 20, of unknown address, Apt. 34 in Portsmouth was charged with theft (removing merchandise from a building). Ariel Trisha Robbins-Perkins, 20, of 730 Osprey Drive in Portsmouth was also charged with theft from a building.
  • At 8:57 p.m., police arrested a Manchester man on Maplewood Avenue and Cutts Street who was wanted as a fugitive from justice. Robert E. Lopilato, 46, of 2869 Brown Ave., in Manchester was wanted on a bench warrant.

Sunday:

  • At 12:59 a.m., police arrested a Seabrook man for drunken driving on Islington Street and Frenchmans Lane. Donald W. Hawkins, Jr., 36, of 78 Atlantic Ave. in Seabrook was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated.
