Police Release Photos of MacEdge Burglar

Portsmouth Police are asking for public help in identifying the MacEdge store suspect.

Portsmouth Police have released three photos of the burglar who broke into the MacEdge store and stole computer tablets and merchandise June 29.

Officers responded to MacEdge, located in the Bowl-a-Rama Plaza on Lafayette Road, when an alarm sounded at about 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

The burglar forced entry into a vacant store next door and then broke through a common wall.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the man in the surveillance photos, one of which shows a white Dodge Caravan.

Police say the burglar may have recently purchased the work gloves and hood seen in the surveillance photo, along with a pry bar.

Anybody with information about such purchases is encouraged to call Detective
Sgt. John Peracchi at (603) 610-77432.

One can also leave an anonymous tip with Seacoast Crime Stoppers at (603) 431-1199 or at seacoastcrimestoppers.org, or text a tip to CRIMES (274637) with the letters "TIPSCS".  Tips leading to an arrest or indictment could mean a cash reward of up to $1,000.
