Teen Driver Now Faces Assault, Drug Charges in Hampton Crash

Hampton Police say Remi Gross-Santos, 17, was driving the 1992 Volvo 740 that struck two pedestrians in Hampton on June 12.

The Portsmouth man accused of aggravated drunken driving after striking two pedestrians in Hampton earlier this month now also faces second-degree assault, possession of drugs and transportation of alcohol charges, WMUR reports.

As Hampton-North Hampton Patch reported June 12, Remi Gross-Santos, 17, was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI after police said the 1992 Volvo 740 sedan he was driving struck two pedestrians on Ocean Boulevard.

Hampton Police said the accident occurred at about 7:15 a.m. June 12 at the intersection of Ocean Boulevard and 13th.

The pedestrians struck were identified as Karen Weinhold, 69, and Lisa Beaudry, 60, both of Hampton.
