Ayotte to Receive Manufacturing Award

U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-NH, is scheduled to receive a National Association of Manufacturers accolade on Thursday at 3 p.m.

U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte will receive a manufacturing award from the National Association of Manufacturers at Thermo Fischer Scientific on Thursday afternoon.

Ayotte, R-NH, is scheduled to receive the the National Association of Manufacturers "Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence," according to Liz Johnson, who serves as Ayotte's spokesman.

The award is given to Congressional lawmakers who support policies critical to the success of manufacturing in New Hampshire and across the United States, according to Johnson.

Johnson said that federal lawmakers who maintained a voting record of 70 percent or higher during the 112th Congress in 2011-2012 based on key votes selected by an National Association of Manufacturers member-led advisory committee receive the award.

Johnson also said that Mike Karsonovich, vice president and general manager of Slides and Specialty Glass Business at Thermo Fischer Scientific, will present the NAM Award to Ayotte at 3 p.m.
