Dr. Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, and Gov. John Lynch will be at Redhook Ale Brewery on Sunday afternoon to attend The Meat House's Operation: Thank You! for National Guard troops and their families.
According to the White House Press Office, Biden and First Lady Michelle Obama will travel to the Granite State and attend a Joining Forces Cookout for National Guard and Reserve troops and active duty military members and their families at 3:45 p.m. in Concord.
Biden will attend the Meat House sponsored event in Portsmouth before joining the First Lady in Concord, according to the White House Press Office.
According to Karyn Martin, a member of the Meat House's public relations team, the Portsmouth event will be held at Redhook Ale Brewery from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. She said Dr. Biden and Gov. Lynch will be at the Pease International Tradeport restaurant at 2 p.m.
Operation: Thank You! began in 2004 as a way to thank and honor the military and their families for all of their sacrifices. The event has quickly grown since its inception into one of the most successful and anticipated military appreciation events in New England, having raised over $50,000 for the Chaplain Emergency Relief Fund so far and bringing together several local businesses for this great cause. Over 2,000 people attended last years’ event alone
