Joe Plaia to Run for Rockingham County Attorney

Plaia was the 2012 Democratic nominee for Rockingham County Attorney.

Joe Plaia, the 2012 Democratic nominee for Rockingham County Attorney, will officially announce Tuesday that he is running again for the office.

Plaia, who lives in Portsmouth, is scheduled to speak this morning outside the Rockingham County complex in Brentwood. He is currently New Hampshire Liquor Commission Chief Hearings Officer.

The county attorney's race has considerable buzz this year, given the investigation into long-time Republican incumbent Jim Reams. New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph Foster filed a joint complaint last month claiming Reams should be removed by the superior court for misconduct.

Jason Grosky, a prosecutor for the Salem Police Department, has already jumped into the race.
