Pease Airman Killed During Non-Combat Incident

Master Sgt. David L. Poirier died Friday of a heart attack while serving in Qatar.

An airman assigned to the Pease Air National Guard Base was killed Friday during a non-combat related incident, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

Master Sgt. David L. Poirier, 52, of North Smithfield, RI was assigned to the 157th Operations Support Squadron stationed at the Pease Air National Guard Base in Portsmouth, NH.

National Guard spokesman Lt. Aaron McCarthy told The Eagle-Tribune that Poirier died of a heart attack while serving in Qatar.
