Scott Brown Confirms He's Moving to Rye

The former Massachusetts Senator says he has "nothing to announce" regarding his future political plans.

Former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown released a statement Thursday confirming rumors that he's making Rye his permanent home, according to WMUR.

The statement talks about how Brown grew up and raised their children in Massachusetts, and says his decision to return to New Hampshire "is strictly personal." He said his family has "strong ties to the Granite State that go back many generations." He said he will register to vote in New Hampshire, but added "I have nothing to announce with regard to my future political plans."

Brown, who owns a summer home in Rye, has long been rumored to be a candidate for the U.S. Senate in New Hampshire in 2014. He is scheduled to speak at an NHGOP fundraiser in Nashua on Thursday night.
