What's Open/Closed in Portsmouth on July 4

The annual Portsmouth fireworks display is now scheduled for Saturday, July 5.

Portsmouth city offices, schools, Portsmouth Public Library the Connie Bean Center and the indoor pool are closed Friday for the Fourth of July holiday.

The Peirce Island Pool is open regular hours on July 4 and the Spinnaker Point Adult Recreation Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, according to the city.

U.S. Post Offices are closed on Friday.

New Hampshire State Liquor Stores are open with regular hours on Friday.

The city has rescheduled the fireworks to Saturday, July 5, from the South Mill Pond area. The fireworks display – an alcohol-free, family event – is scheduled for 9:15 p.m.

The city's dog park will be closed from 6 a.m. on July 5 to 10 a.m. on July 6.
