NH State GOP Endorses Scott Brown

All former Massachusetts U.S. Senator Scott Brown has to do for the Republican Party's nomination to challenge New Hampshire's Democratic U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen is ask.  New Hampshire's GOP brass is behind him.

The Democratic Senate Majority PAC (political action committee) recently launched a video ad targeting Brown, titled "#Bqhatevwr," which Politico.com describes as "a reference to a late-night tweet Brown posted last year that drew much ridicule. He was trying to type 'whatever.'"

How did Brown respond?  According to the Nashua Telegraph ("Scott Brown gets targeted in Democrat attack ad, fires back on NHGOP stationary"), he asked New Hampshire's Republican state party chairwoman Jennifer Horn to use official party stationery for his reply.  His request was granted.

There are four other candidates for the Republican nomination to challenge Shaheen in November (former N.H. U.S. Senator Bob Smith, former State Senator Jim Rubens of Hanover, conservative activist Karen Testerman of Franklin and someone named Andy Martin).  How many letterhead sheets and envelopes has the party given them?

From the Nashua Telegraph article linked-to above:

"GOP Executive Director Matt Mowers said any of those GOP hopefuls could make the same plea as Brown did.

"'Absolutely yes,' Mowers answered in an e-mail.

"'We welcome the efforts of candidates, elected officials and party leaders who are willing to help us raise the money we need to defeat out of touch liberals like Jeanne Shaheen.'"

The Telegraph article also states: "Two weeks ago, Brown was the headliner for a successful fundraiser for the state party in Nashua."

Geez.  Huh.  "We welcome the efforts of candidates ... who are willing to help us raise the money."  How many times have the other candidates been invited?

Republicans, the fix is in.  The party is effectively stating: "Your votes are welcome and will be taken into consideration, but we're already counting our chicken. You can take your eggs home and make some breakfast."

It's going to be Scott Brown, the guy who ran away from Ed Markey last year.  Now he's "New Hampshire strong."  Jeanne Shaheen, I'm sure, is quaking.
