Frigid Air Turns NH Snowstorm Into 'No-storm'

Some areas got heavy snowfall, but not southern New Hampshire, much to the chagrin of individuals looking for another snow day.

So what happened to the big winter storm that was supposed to hit New Hampshire on Tuesday night?

While Cape Cod and some areas of Massachusetts saw more than a foot of snow, most of southern New Hampshire got little more than a dusting, much to the chagrin of individuals looking for another snow day.

What was it that changed?

According to WMUR-TV meteorologist Josh Judge, the cold, dense air "deflected" the storm farther out to sea, keeping it wll to our south. That led to an inch of snow at most here in the Granite State.

Though we dodged the snow, New Hampshire isn't going to be spared from the bitter, bitter cold that's hitting the region this week. Today's high temperature is expected to be around 12 degrees, and it could drop to 0 overnight. Temperatures will remain in the mid-teens on Thursday and Friday before returning to around freezing on Saturday.
