Portsmouth Begins New Shuttle Bus

The free shuttle service aims to provide some parking relief on busy weekends.

Portsmouth Mayor Robert Lister and city councilors and officially kicked off the new shuttle bus service Friday that aims to provide parking relief on weekends.

The free shuttle service runs every 10 minutes on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 31. It runs a loop from the 93-car parking lot at the Connect Community Church on Market Street and the Hanover Street bus stop near the city's parking garage.

The hours of operation:

  • Fridays, 4 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
  • Saturdays, from noon to 1:30 a.m.
  • Sundays, from noon to 10 p.m.
