Share Your Father/Daughter Valentine's Dance Photos and Videos

The new Connie Bean Recreation Center will host the Father/Daughter Valentine's Dance on Saturday night.

The Father/Daughter Valentine's Dance will be held this Saturday at the new Connie Bean Recreation Center after it was postponed last weekend due to the Blizzard of 2013. As Portsmouth dads dance the night away with their little girls, it is a good bet that plenty of keepsake photos and videos will be taken to preserve the moment and Portsmouth Patch would love to share them. If last year's Father/Daughter Valentine's Dance held at the former Connie Bean Recreation Center on Daniel Street is any indication, this Saturday's event will be just as memorable. 'Vagina Monologues' Coming to the Rep

Seacoast Repertory Theatre to present this play this weekend.

Valentine's Day may be over after Feb. 14, but not at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre. As a special post Valentine's Day treat, the Bow Street theater will present "The Vagina Monologues," by Eve Ensler presented by Back Alley Productions, according to Seacoast Repertory Theatre officials. "This cutting edge and razor sharp show brings to life a series of monologues from woman all over the globe. This production is an annually celebrated and fantastically touching theatre piece that helps raise awareness (and funds!) for domestic abuse against woman. As most city residents know, there is never a shortage of fun things to do or places to go in Portsmouth. Each Thursday, we will offer five suggestions for people who are planning out their weekends. 1. Portsmouth Offers Plenty of Valentine's Day Romance

City has several ways for sweethearts and couples to express their love on Feb. 14

There are few places in New Hampshire like Portsmouth that offer couples and sweethearts so many ways to celebrate Valentine's Day. Regardless if one desires a robust bouquet of red roses, sweet chocolates, Valentines Day cards or romantic dinners for two, Portsmouth has all of these things and more. The city also has its share of chocolatiers who create hand-made Valentine's Day chocolates. For example, on Saturday night, the Connie Bean Recreation Center will host its 18th annual Father/Daughter Valentine's Day Dance.
