Scott McPherson has been writing professionally for eighteen years. His political commentaries have appeared on the op-ed page of numerous newspapers across the country, including the Washington Times, the Milwaukee Times, the Philadelphia Tribune, the Lexington (KY) Herald-Leader, the Danbury News-Times, the Tallahassee Democrat, the Los Angeles Daily News, the Tulsa World, the New Hampshire Union Leader, the Nashua Telegraph, and the Portsmouth Herald; CNSNews.com, LewRockwell.com, and Antiwar.com; and in the political journals Ideas on Liberty, Future of Freedom, Perspective, and Liberty Magazine. An occasional dabbler in verse, his poems have appeared in the Random Acts of Poetry section of the Portsmouth Herald, and his poem "Beer, In Four Parts" was published in the March/April 2013 issue of Zymurgy Magazine. Scott also writes fiction: his short story "Feeding Time in Winter" was featured in the River Poets Journal Reading Room from December 2014 to April 2015, his short story "The Mick Situation" won third place in RiverRun Bookstore's 2015 Short Story Contest (and was published in the book Compass Points: Stories from Seacoast Authors, also available at Amazon.com), and his short story "The Bubble" appeared in the Spring 2018 issue of The Bridge. Scott loves baseball (Go Seadogs! Go Red Sox!), reading, movies, travel, and live music. He lives in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and thinks it is the greatest city on earth.
