Portsmouth Woman Gets 1-1/2 to 3 Years in Marriott Murder Case

Kathryn McDonough, a Portsmouth woman who pleaded guilty to three felony charges that she lied to police and destroyed evidence in the Elizabeth Marriott murder case, will spend the next 1-1/2 to 3 years in state prison.

McDonough, 19, pleaded guilty July 25 in Rockingham County Superior Court.

Investigators said McDonough conspired with Seth Mazzaglia, 30, of Dover, to cover up Marriott's murder on Oct. 9, 2012.

Police said Mazzaglia dumped Marriott's body into the Piscataqua River off Peirce Island in Portsmouth. Her remains have not been found.
